Sunrise Robotics

Sunrise Robotics is a Slovenian robotics company founded in 2023 by Tomaž Stolfa (CEO), Marko Thaler (CTO) and Joe Perrott (CCO), based in Ljubljana. It builds intelligent, autonomous dual-arm robotic cells that retrofit and transform existing manufacturing processes. Each cell combines built-in perception (vision and radar), on-board AI and human-like two-arm coordination, is trained in simulation, and operates as an ever-learning, continuously improving fleet. Designed for plug-and-play deployment (running within hours, ISO 10218 / TS 15066 safety compliant), the cells let manufacturers scale capacity flexibly and redeploy operators to higher-value tasks. The company emerged from stealth in 2025 with $8.5M seed funding led by Plural and has raised about $16.9M to date.
