Sensmore

Sensmore (sensmore GmbH) is a German robotics startup founded in 2022 by Maximilian Rolf (CEO) and Bjarne Johannsen (CTO), based in Berlin/Potsdam. It develops "Physical AI" that turns the world's largest mobile machines — wheel loaders, haul trucks, dumpers, underground LHDs — into intelligent, autonomous robots. As a full-system provider, Sensmore retrofits existing heavy machinery on site with hardware and proprietary AI software (including Vision-Language-Action Models), automating entire material-flow fleets. Its platform (Site OS, Machine Assist, Eye, Live Mapping, Loader Automation) serves mining, construction, agriculture and defense, with rollouts at large open-pit sites for customers such as Heidelberg Materials, CEMEX and Lhoist. In 2025 the company raised $7.3M (€6.5M) led by Point Nine Capital.
